What medication for bipolar does NOT cause weight gain?

it’s not the medication. it might make you hungry but you need the willpower not to over eat.
I take Lithium Carb.
Topomax actually has weight loss as a side effect. I have had good luck on it.
Unfortunately, most of them have that risk. The only two psych meds I can think of that don’t generally have much risk of that are Topomax (as mentioned previously) and Wellbutrin. I’ve been lucky, I have not had that side effect from any of my meds (although may have if I had stayed on Depakote) and I’ve tried A LOT of meds. They say that weight gain is the number one complaint with these types of meds and it definitely seems worse with some than others (for instance, Seroquel seems to have less occurrence of it than Zyprexa.)
