what are signs of the slightest or critical symptoms of bipolar?

   mood swings (every 20 mins or so)
   A condition that can wreak havoc on the life of the person that has it, and the lives those around the person. People with bipolar feel depression worse than death. Feelings of extreme loss, guilt, and utter helplessness can only begin to describe the misery these people experience. It is due to this unexplainable misery that many people with bipolar, sadly, end up committing suicide.

   The other side of bipolar (the suffix “bi” indicating two things) is mania. Mania includes feelings of superhuman powers and extreme joy… to the point of being hyper. The person’s mind goes a million miles an hour and he or she can keep going for days with little or no sleep.

   well miley c u could ask theme normal questions that u would always ask someone and if the person acts about it diffrently then mayby u should tell someone so this peeron can get help but it is just my opinion on hohow i would hanndle this

   The main symptoms are
   increase energy
   decreased need for sleep
   elevated mood and exxagerated optimism
   increased physical and mental activity
   excessive irritability, agressive behavious, and impatience
   poor judgement
   reckless behaviour
   inflated sense of self importance

   It then changes into a depressive state.. with sysmptoms of depression

   the slightest symptoms usually are the most critical…. including: very quick, unexplained mood swings. depression, anxiety, fatigue, a sense of worthlessness. THere are more but these are usually the first signs

   We are normal people with one exception,the mood swings can turn a bipolar person violent,suicidal,and they do these things before they realize what they have done.Also they go to hypermania to hypomania in less than 2 seconds when attacks occur.With medication and therapy we can live a normal life.It takes medication 6 weeks before its fully in their system.They have to be watched due to violent and suicidal tendencies.

   Periods of depression or mania alternating with either the opposite or normal mood.
   Depression is usually seen as sleeping too much or disturbed sleep; irritability, crankiness; a loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities; withdrawal; inability to start things, procrastinates, may not perform daily living skills consistently or well.
   Mania is usually seen as excitable behavior, may be quick to anger then drop it and become pleasant as if nothing happened; quick movements; jittery; distractible; can’t sit still; stays up long hours; starts a flurry of projects but usually doesn’t finish them because the mania subsides, and then they too depressed to continue. Severe mania may result in psychotic episodes and hallucinations.
   Usually you have several episodes in a month or two.
   Many times people can be pleasant as long as everything is going their way and only show symptoms when anxious or stressed.

   People with bipolar have intense highs and extreme lows. There is no happy median for them. These would also alternate every hour or sooner, or later. Depending on the individual their thoughts and swings could vary.

   My personal thought about this disorder–I know that it could do harm in some people’s lives, but there are more people who scream bipolar for attention only. These are the people who are usually always sick with something life threatening, but as the conversation goes on, there is nothing wrong with them at all. I have none people who have done this for attention and they were given only a placebo for their illness. They then were fine and dandy when I spoke with them a month or so later. So, it can be all in the head, and not really there. I am not saying that there are people who really need help, because there are, but there are also the people who are starving for attention and think by researching an illness, they can pass it off.

   Good luck to you and hopefully you will get your friend so therapy rather than meds.

   Well, it alternates between really high moods and really low moods, more than the normal person would alternate between these moods.
   Symptoms:
   -Erratic behaviour, eg, being reckless, spending too much money, having too much sex
   -Feeling increasingly irritated and on edge
   -Racing thoughts
   -Having ideas and thoughts that are sometimes impractical and aren’t realistic
   -Feeling superior
   Etc, that kind of thing
   Those are the manic symptoms.

   Depressive symptoms:
   -Loss of appetite
   -Loss of motivation
   -Crying, feeling sad
   -Loss of concentration.
   ETC and all the normal depressive symptoms.

   But if you want a more comprehensive insight then you should google it. And, I know. LOL

   very few have real bipolar problems, but most get medications. so watch out. Most teenage behaviours are thought to be bipolar systoms, (just imagine crazy teenagers)In fact they are just acting stupid.
