Bipolar type 1 — How do i control the racing thoughts?
Although I have a degree in psychology… I can’t seem to control my racing thoughts when I’m multitasking. The rest of the day I’m fine… but i lose concentration, forget what i was doing… or lose my train of thought mid-sentence (this is the most annoying) if I’m doing more than one thing at a time. My job requires me to do multiple things every second of the day.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 when I was 12, and BPD when i was 18. I’m 21 and have been able to control my racing thoughts to a certain extent for over a year… but when mutitasking they are effecting the way my clients view me now. And no, its not due to the Bipolar Medications, because I’ve opted not to be on any. Please don’t tell me how much of a bad idea you think this is. I am still young, and my body can recoop the hormones in my brain when i have my episodes. I will reconsider medications when my body is less willing to recoop after the mania.
Schizophrenia or Most severe Bipolar type 1?
i’m diagnosed bipolar type 1 with the most severe symptoms(voices, dellusions, paranoia ectect.)
i’m a highschool drop out,i have slow motor skills and severe lack of motivation.
i had my first manic epidode about 6 months ago(i was percribed too an add medication, because i had thought i had ADHD,this apparently is bad for bipolar ppl, because it is known too trigger paranoia, voices ectect) bottom line it changed my life,i’ve never been the same.
i have hooked on thoughts (i’ve trained myself too think about the world ending EVERYDAY)
dellusions(everyones a robot,or a demon from hell)let me remind you i try to stay in control,i remind myself that these are just dellusions.
My psych just told me I have bipolar type 2. I’m not sure if she is right. Is there a test I can take?
I’m 30 years old and she just now all of a sudden tell me I have bipolar type 2?
I was diagnosed with bipolar type 2, why is my doctor giving me a drug that’s used for for Bipolar 1?
Just wondering if maybe now he believes I am more severe than he ( and other psychiatrists) originally thought. The drug is Abilify & I also take 6 mg a day of Klonopin. What do you think?
What are the chances of a child being bipolar (type 2) if one parent is but not the other?
Also, do you know how early (at what age) signs of it would be apparent? My mother said looking back there were signs but that she didn’t know what it was -ie: I was a very moody child.
What is the main difference between dysthymia and bipolar type 2?
I know there’s supposed to be “hypomania”, and a baseline for every individual. However, from what I’ve read the diagnosis criterion are generally vague.
Can someone that is Bipolar type 2 have mixed episodes?
I’ve received mixed answers. I’ve heard that they can’t, that only people with Bipolar type I can have mixed episodes. However, last I heard I was Bipolar Type 2, but I’m currently experiencing a mixed episode. I’m trying to get opinions before I contact my psychiatrist to ask her what my diagnosis REALLY is.
What is the mutation that causes bipolar disorder and what type is it?
If it’s a gene mutation, what type is it, and if it’s a chromosome mutation, which type is it?
Thanks in advance for all your answers.
