Question by R.E.D.: Do most bipolar people think they can do without medication?
Is it common that most bipolar people want to drop taking their bipolar medication? Do they come up with all kinds of rationizations to support not taking their medicine? What are some of these rationizations? Do you think a bipolar alcoholic can recover from alcoholism without their bipolar medications?

Question by 525: Bipolar and relationships – can they work?
Are you or your significant other Bipolar and in a relationship? I am struggling with accusing my boyfriend of cheating nonstop because I am Bipolar type 2 and am constantly flipping out on him. I am jealous all the time and paranoid.
Is anyone else like this? Is there any way to control this? Thanks.

but I have not noticed any. How long do people go through the periods where they are feeling okay and when they are feeling bad?

I know a lot of people won’t get into serious relationships with people with bipolar disorder because bipolar people tend to cause friction in relationships and aren’t very stable. But if you met a guy/girl who was bipolar and fell in like/love with them then found out they were bipolar, would you stay by their side or look for someone more stable?

I am considerating getting some illegal drugs to help with this crazy felling. I have read and studied anything and everything I can to help myself with this. I can’t live like this . Anyone else feel this way? My family don’t care, doctors dismiss you in a hurry. What does everyone else do? I forgot what quality in life is.

I have really got to know someone with bipolars and she alway puts her feelings ahead of mine, regardless of the issue. Is that just the way things are with bipolars?
I will just say I am wits end. Nothing at all can be any way but her way. She just seems beyond selfish at times and just selfish at normal times. She won’t care for my feelings but Heaven help you if you hurt her feelings.

I get big mood swings. Yesterday, I was really depressed, and I was actually thinking about suicide and stuff, then this morning, I was really depressed until about 1/2 through the morning, then I had a massive swing, until I was actually humming the school song. These swings don’t actually have anything to do w/ whats going on.
so what do you think?
btw, this morning was the first time I was in an actual good mood for a month and a half or two. I am a teenager, but I’ve never really been depressed like this before. The good mood only lasted for a couple hours…. which doesn’t seem right.
