the med are zyprexa 5mg,clonaepam.5mg,flouxetine hcl,when they had 8beers? need help

I have Bipolar type 2 and I’m not taking any medication for it and I’m not seeing a therapist. What are the long-term consequences for this?

I hate those drugs. I have tried to get him to stop taking them but he won’t.

My best friend’s husband has bipolar and takes medication. She is one frustrated woman, I can sense it although she does not talk about the subject. They are young in their 30′s. Could his decreased sex drive be a main reason for her frustrating attitude since he was diagnosed.

Someone said that they are changeing the way people with mental illness are handled. By saying that the Drs need to work to get these people to recover and not keep them on meds. Is that true?

My husband was diagnosed with bipolar after we got married and he started taking these prescription drugs that I totally don’t want him to take. These drugs have changed him from the way he was before we got married. I believe in holistic health but he won’t listen to me. I want him off these stupid drugs so bad, what can I do?

In order to become successful in life, it is quite essential to be healthy and wise. While any sort of physical restrictions of the body can be fought with and dealt with, the central processing unit of our body that is our brain needs to be absolutely perfect in order to live a happy & successful life. For all our errands what we primarily need is a sharp brain so as to understand our environment and act promptly & make well evaluated decisions.

Along with a perfectly working brain, what we need is a control over our emotions. Being over excited or unduly angry all the time would not help us in any way. Quoting in the right terminology all our psychological factors must be balanced enough.

I have experienced single episode bipolar disorder, and have not had many symptoms in 22 years (diagnosed at 18.) Yet I have taken meds, as prescribed…. doesn’t it make sense to get off lithium as one grows older? (I’m interested in other patient/consumer experiences, esp.)
