I’m pretty sure I’m suffering with Bipolar Disorder, but I don’t think anyone in my family has ever had it. I just was wondering if it has to be genetic to get it.

Is bipolar disorder hereditary or learned?
i am bipolar so i am not trying to offend anyone.

I would like to know the chances of my child developing the same condition if it turns out the father has it. I am not bipolar. I suspect some ADD but have never been properly diagnosed.
