Some say that Bipolar mania is caused from a B-12 deficiency. If that be the case would B-12 sublingual correct that problem. As are B-12 injections so much more potent than B-12 sublingual?

I’ve been browsing the web in hopes of finding a medication that will work for a young man aged 20 who is suffering these illnesses and whose psych doesnt seem to know what to prescribe or really care. He has morbid hallucinations and severe mood swings and a desire to kill himself. There are so many different meds for this – and we need to find the RIGHT one for him quick. My mother has rapid-cycling type 1 bipolar. I was wondering if there is ANYONE on the face of the earth that has the same problem as me: living with them on a day to day basis. My therapist suggested that i find a person who is about my age (teenager) that can relate so I don’t feel so alone.

So is there anyone else dealing with this or am I truly all alone?

Someone did a research paper in my class about bipolar and they mention that twins are more likely to have a bipolar disorder than any one else. I did my research online and couldn’t find any facts about that.

I haven’t been to see a psych Doc yet. Waiting to get a referral from my primary care doc. The psychologist that tested me said I could possibly have cyclothymia which is a mild version of Bipolar sometimes called Bipolar III. I don’t have any depression symptoms though. I used several online test for depression. I have also read that people that are ADHD tend to be moody also though. Anyone on here taken Wellbutrin for Bipolar? I am in recovery from crack addiction clean 7 years and am concerned about taking the stimulant medications. I would really like someone elses input on this. Thanks
