Marrying a bipolar type II guy!!!?
My boyfriend has a bipolar II. he has been on meds for past 2 years. We know each other only for 5 months.We dont get to spend time together because we live far apart. He wants to marry me. I like him a lot. I told him that i am ready to marry him. My problem is sometimes i find him very insensitive. Although we never had sex, i thinks he is too much interested in it. He always talks abt sex. When ever i tell him that i think he doesnt care about me or he is being insensitive, he says that he knows and he is trying to improve himself. He talks in a very nice and polite way. I dont know what t do..do u think i should marry him?

Sounds like you want more out of the relationship than he does… Find some who wants the same things as you do. My wife says I come across insensitive but she understands my emotions(or lack of). Don’t Settle
I think its odd after only knowing him for 5 months and never getting to see him your willing to settle down and marry him.
You barely know each other and are still in the honeymoon phase. Wait a little while until you have some real issues come up in your relasionship. If you can make it through those then start looking into marriage.

So what does that have to do with bipolar II?
You never had sex with him and he talks about sex a lot? OF COURSE HE DOES!!!! For god’s sake what do you expect?
If you were my friend, I would tell you in no uncertain terms one time that you were making a huge mistake. If you didn’t listen, I’d silently watch your marriage fall into ruin with a mentally ill man that you know almost nothing about, including whether he’s good in the sack.
If sex is really un-important to you and you need sensitivity, you are expecting way too much from this man and almost any man.
Sounds like you both have mental problems. You should be a good fit.
I would suggest you do some research on what Bipolar 2 is. Make an informed decision with the facts instead of one out of emotion. Bipolar disorder is complicated and sometimes hard to deal with (as the person with the illness and the person who cares about them). You have to ask yourself if you really love this guy and if you are willing to go thru what you are going thru now and even more. At this point you are not living close to him and you don’t have to deal with it on a daily basis, I am trying not to be negative in any way but please make an informed decision before taking any action! I think you need to date him for at least 1 or 2 years before you decide to marry someone with a serious mental illness.
After reading your question again, I’m beginning to wonder if this is a joke. I kind of think this is a spoof, fake question
Firstly, I think that 5 months isn’t long enough for a relationship to reach the marriage stage, and since you don’t spend much time together, I definately wouldn’t recommend it. Secondly, I believe that a true guy spends about 85% of his time thinking or talking about sex. So, I believe that you should cut him some slack in that department, yet don’t let him push it to where you feel uncomfortable. Overall, you should spend more time together if you are serious about marrying him, because there may be some things that you dislike about him. You never should marry a stranger! good luck!
I have bilpolar II myself. It’s not that he deserves love, or that he deserves you, I think you two just don’t know each other very well.
You need to date a lot longer to see if you are compatible, even to see if you are worth one another’s time.
