In fact, I received a huge reduction in tuition and fees. I was also awarded 2 grants, one federal and one state. None of the financial assistance affected my benefits whatsoever. good luck! I even interned for a little while at a counseling agency where I worked one day a week for zero pay. Social security told me that unless I am getting paid money they don't care what I do.
