I have Bipolar 2 depressive type on ssdi but wanna go to back to school. Anyone in a similar situation?

   I have schiz and manic depression, on ssdi and ssi and I went to community college and got a degree. I even interned for a little while at a counseling agency where I worked one day a week for zero pay. Social security told me that unless I am getting paid money they don’t care what I do.

   I was able to go to college without it affecting my benefits. In fact, I received a huge reduction in tuition and fees. I was also awarded 2 grants, one federal and one state.

   None of the financial assistance affected my benefits whatsoever.
