Well, here’s only a suggestion, but:
The research on cognitive therapy and psycho-education suggests that medication alone is not always the most sufficient method of treatment for all patients.

hmmnn.. there are a lot of topics to deal on bipolar disorder…
you can work on relapse rates for a certain risk group..
you can experiment on the effects of non-pharmacologic aprroaches versus or in additon to medcine alone treatment.
you can evaluate the demographic profile of a certain bipolar population..
you can check on the factors putting them at risk (incidenc or prevalence)
you can check on factors that cause poor compliance to treatment..
you can check on underlying personality traits that may result to bipolar disorder or its relapse.
you can check on economic burdens resulting from bipolar..
you can check on the effects on caregivers (relatives)
well..i can go on and on with this…but you have to consider your resources, time, and interest as well as level of competence before deciding on a topic. Whatever you choose..have it backed up by a good numer of literature reviews before you proceed.
