well, being bipolar but not on drugs (just meds for the illness). if he is that impossible to work for, get that resume updated and start sending it out to other companies….
I suggest reading up on bipolar as much as possible.
it’ll help with you understanding what he’s going through, but it won’t make it easier. I live it with and I’ve finally come to that conclussion. I could be a doctor and it still wouldn’t be easier.
Your best option would just be getting a new job. He’s only your boss, you don’t need to deal with all of his mood swings.
