There is so much information out there on Attention Deficit Disorder that people often do not know which thing to even begin to believe. Some say it is overdiagnosed. Some say it is a rising problem. The truth about ADD is that it can be seen in the brain. Scans of the brain show that ADD affects the prefrontal cortex, the anterior cingulate gyrus, the temporal lobes, the basal ganglia and the deep limbic system. There are actually six main types of ADD. By knowing which type a patient different treatments are prescribed.
Classic ADD is the age old disorder by which most people categorize patients with ADD. Most with this type will have difficulty paying attention and leave tasks unfinished. They also are usually hyperactive and impulsive.

Metalworking seems to be a lost profession in the 21st century. Highly trained artisans in the metalworking professions often go unnoticed and unsung amongst the career options for students. Welders, in particular, have advanced by leaps and bounds in the technological age. The use of welding machines, including cables, the welding rod and welding wire, has pushed welding into a new era. This specialized skill set, however, comes with a specialized set of required tools and machines.
Welders obviously need adequate safety equipment, such as gloves, boots, masks and goggles, to ensure safety while working with hot metals and such. In addition to attire, though, adequate power welding supplies are essential to ensure that the welding that takes place is safe and effective. For some projects, this power supply could be a car battery or a simple constant voltage mechanism. These devices have a trigger that sounds when the machine is at risk of an overload.

I was diagnosed with “type 1 bipolar disorder with psychotic features” in july. I’m turning 16 tomorrow, so its a pretty early diagnosis. After being pretty stable for a few months, my emotions took a turn for the worst, and I’ve been so low. I started cutting again and withdrawing from everyone. I cry consistently,
Does anyone else suffer from the problem? Any tips on making my highs and lows a bit less dramatic? I’m pretty new at learning how to cope with this illness.

Bipolar with “ultraradian cycling”..where they have numerous episodes a day. It is not the classic bipolar. Is it not very common? there does not seem to be a lot of information on it.
Are people with this often misdiagnosed as borderline personality disorder? And vice versa …? Even though borderline has a lot of other characteristics
What if someone were to have slight paranoia, delusions etc ever so often…is that just part of mania? Not schizoaffective right ?

How long does an episode last for someone who is bipolar?
And how often do the episodes come?
I know that it depends somewhat on the type of bipolar spectrum disorder you have, but it’s not too clear for me…
thanks for any help!

I have a friend that recently got the diagnosis. He cannot hold a job, and has problems getting along with people. I suggested that he go on disability, so that he can get the medications he needs to get his life back on track.
