Anyone have this bipolar drug combo?

My med have just been adjusted today and I was wondering if anyone else was taking this combo in any potency.
Topomax-50mg
Risperdal(small Dose) 1mg
Lithium 600mg
Lamictal 200mg
I know the doses aren’t too high and I only just started but I never had this combo and was wondering how many have, thanks!!

No Bipolar medications work the same on all people. It is all a matter of trial and error. If this doesn’t work within 60 days you need something adjusted to a higher dosage or another medication. All you can do is keep trying until you fiind the right combination. You need to educate yourself. pick up in your doctors office any info about antidepressants get to know about them. I can tell you from experience that it can take some time. check the internet for each of your meds. you can just google the name of the med. This is something that requires work on your part don’t just depend on your psychiatrist. Sometimes they have their own list that they prescribe.
If you educate yourself you can ask for a change and know the drug you are talking about. Also your psychiatrists always starts at the lower dosage to be sure that you have no allergies or bad side effects to any of your prescribed drugs. As they are increased they are more likely to help you. I wish you the best! It is not easy I know dealing with Bi-Polar. Hang in there and keep trying never give up and never stop taking your meds. You will end up with the worst depression. I will be thinking of you

there are many testimonials of people that were on
many combos too and did not help them made them worse

Wow. That’s a combo. I’m guessing you’re Bipolar Type I from the look of that, and assuming the Lithium is adjusted to the correct blood level..
I’ve never seen that one before, I’ve seen cocktails like it. I’m guessing that you cycle very frequently, or that your cycles are extremely severe and resistant to treatment. In which case, those are all pretty good meds to be on. You’re at about the right dose on the Lamictal, but I’ve seen that go up as far as 400 before.
