Besides the obvious, impulsive behavior and low self esteem (as my boyfriend just pointed out to me), are there any other common links between anorexia or Bulimia and Bipolar Disorder?
really, just doing some research for my page and wanted to know opinions as well as facts

I am bipolar and there is this girl i know who i would like to ask out. While getting to know her I realized that she is too much like me, she has my strength but also my flaws. She is moody, she is hyper, talks like me, acts like me, we always come up with the weirdest answer only we could think of… she gets angry quick, shes up and down all over the place sometimes in terms of mood, she gets very jealous and is very insecure, low self esteem, sometimes she can feel like a queen and sometimes like a loser, its weird because she would be talking all snobish and high and delusional sometimes and other times she is like destroyed and will just say negative things “i am not worthy”.

I am just like that and it cool having a person that is so similar, but my behavior is bipolar, its definitely not normal, so what would her behavior be? Could she be bipolar too? Her sister and cousin do suffer from depression, I mean I don’t mean to judge her… Ok here is the thing…

I used to know the name of several (esp. murderers and people of that sort). Can you name a few for me?

I’ve just gotten the diagnosis. I found it comforting when I was diagnosed with bipolar (about six years ago) to know that successful people like Lewis Carroll (sp?) and Meriweather Lewis (of the Lewis & Clark Expedition) had the disorder. I am hoping that hearing of others who have had BPD and led successful lives will help me move forward in recovery.

I have lost my job already and I am starting to loose my family.

he is currently on clonidine 0.1 mg 3 times daily seroquel 300 mg twice daily and depakote sprinkles 375 mg in the morning and 500 mg at night im at my last resort im scared for my child he is very agressive and geting very hard to manage i dont know what to do

I knew Glenn back when he was in Tampa, and got a job at WFLA. He was a recovered alcoholic, and he was very straight about it – he told me that he was “allergic” to alcohol. While I knew him he was a very funny guy, but now he seems to have lost his bearings.

The Glenn I knew would not be promoting the craziness he is now. Is it the money? This weepiness followed by steely pronouncements about Obama fascism is total clinical bipolar. Might he be faking? And making money?

my husband of 4 years who is 17 years older, has just been diagnosed as bipolar. i’m extremely concerned about the long-term ramifications of dealing with this illness. anyone had any success in treating this disease or living with it?
P.S. The doctor says that he has probably lived with this most of his life and that it’s very sad that he waited until this late in life to seek help. He has angry outbursts over nothing and is never content with his life, very negative, also completely impotent (which he did not fill me in on before I married him).

I have had people call me bipolar cause one minute I could be fine and talking to people and the next I could hate them with passion. Or I could be being physco to someone and then talk to them all nice the next minute. Am I bipolar? Should I get help before it goes too far?? Please help me?
Sometimes it that but a lot of times it’s not. I mean seriously one minute I could be talking to someone and laughing with them and the next no joke I wanna punch them or something.
